Sound Therapy and La Thérapie sonore Are Now Available
One guide is now available in both English and French.
After an extensive process of writing, research, sound creation, and adaptation, I am pleased to announce the publication of Sound Therapy and its French edition, La Thérapie sonore.
Both editions offer a practical and accessible approach to better understanding the connections between music, attention, emotions, relaxation, and the transition into sleep.
A Book Born from Simple Questions
Why does some music help us feel calmer while other music seems to keep us restless?
How can we decide what to listen to when the mind refuses to slow down?
What do we really know about brown noise, pink noise, white noise, binaural beats, or the claims surrounding 432 Hz and 440 Hz frequencies?
These are the questions that inspired me to create this guide. It does not present music as a universal solution. Instead, it encourages readers to better understand what they are listening to, observe their own reactions, and explore different approaches with awareness.
What You Will Find in the Guide
No specialized musical or scientific knowledge is required. The book explores topics including:
- how the brain and body respond to sound;
- the roles of rhythm, volume, repetition, and predictability;
- the connections between music, attention, and emotions;
- active listening and the Iso principle;
- brown noise, pink noise, and white noise;
- binaural beats and 432 Hz and 440 Hz frequencies;
- different sound-based approaches related to relaxation, concentration, and sleep;
- the precautions and limitations associated with sound therapy.
Original Audio Resources
Both editions include original audio resources created by Watazukai, allowing readers to move from theory to direct experience.
These resources offer ways to explore a gradual return to calm, active listening, concentration, positive anchoring, the transition into sleep, continuous sound textures, and brown noise.
The resources are not intended to produce exactly the same effect for everyone. Musical preferences, previous experiences, the surrounding environment, and a person’s state in the moment can all influence how a sound is perceived.
